Quick Start

WindTerm offers seamless Tmux Integration, making it easier and more efficient for you to work with tmux. With this integration, tmux sessions, windows, and panes are mapped and displayed in the native user interface. All commonly used tmux features are fully supported, creating a near-perfect fusion between tmux and WindTerm.

Moreover, you can not only leverage the full power of tmux but also take advantage of WindTerm‘s advanced features, such as syntax highlighting, search and mark, highlight text, triggers, OneKey and so on. This deep integration delivers an unparalleled tmux experience, streamlining your workflow and boosting productivity like never before.

Usage

You can use tmux commands as you normally would. To enter tmux integration mode, simply add -CC. For example:

  • tmux -CC
  • tmux -CC attach

Exiting tmux integration mode is just as easy, simply press Enter in the tmux tab. For further information, please consult the usage instructions for each feature below.

Quick Start

The keyboard shortcuts in tmux integration mode allow you to easily select panes, select windows, split panes, and more. The shortcuts are designed to align with standard tmux keybindings as much as possible. For instance, to zoom a pane, which is usually ctrl+b Z in tmux, you just press alt+Z here, making it intuitive and easy to recall.

Quick Start

You can enter tmux integration mode and attach to a specific session using the command tmux -CC attach -t <session_name>.

Once inside tmux integration mode, running Tmux: Attach Session within the Mux/Tmux Command Palette allows you to switch to a different session too.

Quick Start

You can execute any tmux command by running Tmux: Execute Tmux Command within the Mux/Tmux Command Palette. However, this should rarely be necessary, as WindTerm provides more convenient interactions for almost all common tmux commands.
