Quick Start

The dock is used to display and manage the panes. A dock can display multiple panes at the same time. But usually a pane can only be displayed in one dock at a time. The dock menu supports the below actions:

• Split dock
• Float dock
• Show or hide the specified panes

The tab group is used to manage several tabs. In order to facilitate management, each tab group is named, such as A, B, C, etc. A session tab group supports the below actions:

• Split tab group horizontally/vertically
• Merge tab group with the specified tab group
• Close tab group

Sessions are usually opened in tab groups as tabs. A session tab supports the below actions:

• Duplicate tab
• Split tab horizontally/vertically
• Split tab to the left/right/top/bottom tab group
• Move tab to the specified tab group

The text area usually displays multiple margins, such as number margin, fold margin, timestamp margin, etc. For ease of use, the margin menu supports the below actions:

• Show or hide the specified margin
• Show or hide symbols
• Show or hide white spaces
• Fold and unfold text
• Zoom in/out

Quick Start

Sync input allows users to send text to multiple open sessions simultaneously. To start sync input, you only need to add related sessions to the same sync channel. Similarly, to stop sync input, you only need to let the sessions leave the corresponding channel. WindTerm can support up to 4 sync channels.
